There was also a discussion on twitter about is there such a thing as a “Full Stack Network Engineer”. I am kinda thinking there is now. The trusty network engineer has to know everything from the physical devices, SDN, virtualisation, cloud native including inter and intra cloud, WANs, WiFi and how to terminate an RJ45 cable.Thats in addition to having to learn Infrastructure as code and automation pipelines. So yes, I think Full Stack Networking works.
